On the road again

Plans change and then change again. But that’s fine. We left home June 16 and spent 5 nights at Springfield Campground near Anderson, SC. It’s a great Army Corp campground on Lake Hartwell. Great lake for boating.

These ducks/geese (I’m not an expert) visited us every day.

Then it was on to Frieghtliner for service on Silver Girl in Gaffney, SC. We spent the night before service in their parking lot. There are about 30 spots for RVs to stay and about half full during our stay.

With Silver Girl all oiled and lubed (or whatever they do here), we were off to PA to visit my Mum. She had some surgery (she’s doing great) and we spent a few weeks driveway camping at her house. Solar panels and lithium batteries worked great in the driveway with no hookups.

We had some problems with the car battery on the trip. When we arrived at Springfield and at Mum’s the car wouldn’t start. It turned out the charge line was never hooked up correctly. Benn figured out what was wrong and fixed it. All is good now.

Here’s the plan for the rest of the summer. Kentucky Horse Park to see our niece jump, two campgrounds in central PA, Delaware to visit Benn’s family, visit Newmar to have some warranty work done, then slowly head home.
